Bioticine.

Antibiotic-Associated Diarrhea (AAD) Protocol

AAD occurs in up to 30% of patients taking broad-spectrum antibiotics. The goal of probiotic administration here is competitive exclusion of opportunistic pathogens like C. difficile while the native microbiome is suppressed.

Standard of Care Strains

  1. Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-745: The gold standard. Because it is a yeast, it is completely immune to antibacterial antibiotics and can be taken simultaneously.
  2. L. rhamnosus GG (LGG): Highly effective, particularly in pediatric populations.
